This 12-week online extension studies course will help students, advocates, educators and ministry leaders understand how legal and justice systems can help nations develop, grow and flourish when they are built according to biblical principles.
To disciple nations means to transform them, and they cannot be transformed without reaching their governing leaders. Such impact on the law and government sphere is essential for keeping the doors legally open for the Gospel.
Specifically, students will examine the significance of biblical ethics for shaping law and justice, the purpose of government, and societal spheres. Students will contrast biblical versus secular views on human rights, law and so-called "social justice."
In short, this course focuses on how godly justice systems are essential to transforming nations and Kingdom building, as a means of loving our neighbours.

Course objectives
What you will be able to do
By the end of the twelve weeks, students will:
- 01Recognise the role of Creation and apologetics in shaping law and justice.
- 02Develop a servant-hearted approach to helping victims of injustice and strengthening national justice systems.
- 03Study historical and modern political and economic systems through a biblical lens, understanding their impact on justice and development.
- 04Learn biblical definitions of law, justice, rights and government, rooted in love and God's design.
- 05Explore how law and God's Word contribute to national transformation, while recognising threats like crime, corruption and bureaucracy.
- 06Analyse biblical and secular schools of jurisprudence to see how Scripture guides ethical lawmaking today.
- 07Understand the source, purpose and limitations of government from a biblical perspective.
- 08Build a biblical worldview of law, justice and government as essential to God's call for justice.
- 09Gain practical skills in online research and apply them to one advocacy-justice area in the student's community or nation.
- 10Develop attitudes of compassion, courage, faith, honesty and integrity — serving generously beyond expectations and acting boldly against injustice and falsehood.
